How does laser screeding work
The laser screed concrete floor technology relies on advanced laser technology to achieve high productivity while saving the setting of construction formwork.
Formwork for Laser Screeding
When a laser screed machine is used to level concrete, if the area needed to be leveled is too large to be completed at one time, side formwork should be installed at the area you want to construct each time. For example, if you have a 10,000-square-meter project, it can not be completed in a day. If you want to level 2,000 square meters for the first time, you need to set the side formwork in the position of 2,000 square meters so that you can have a neat interface in the construction position next time.

Set the leveling height of the laser screed machine.
Use a handheld receiver to confirm the position of ±0 and place the handheld rod vertically on an object as high as +0 (for example, if the concrete thickness is 18 cm, the handheld rod should placed on an object as high as 18 cm). Move the small receiver up and down, and adjust the position of the small receiver on the receiving pole until the laser is pointed at the midpoint of the small receiver (when the small receiver shows 0, the green light will be on). Fix the small receiver, and if the small receiver is in the middle, the bottom height of the receiving pole is ±0.
Set the leveling height
Adopt the measured height to the laser screed machine.
Place the vibrating plate of the machine at approximately the same height as±0. Fastened the bottom of the handheld receiving rod to the scraper of the machine, started the machine, and pressed the button to adjust the height of both sides until the handheld rod turned on the green light or displayed 0. Then, install the big receiver, adjust the position of the big receiver on the machine receiving the rod, and fasten the big receiver when the green light is on. Then, eliminate the error by following the steps in the video. The machine is set up.

Following, I will list three additional types of equipment that increase the efficiency of a laser screed concrete floor:
Laser Concrete Rake
The Laser Concrete Rake is a state-of-the-art product designed for the initial spreading of concrete. Though typical mounds of concrete can be directly leveled without requiring the power of a boom screed, manual dispersal into uniform layers is required for both ride-on and walk-behind laser screeds prior to leveling.
Now, with the Laser Concrete Rake, you can mechanically spread concrete initially, achieving a high degree of flatness and facilitating subsequent construction. It saves significant manpower.
For wear-resistant flooring, a hardener must be sprinkled on the surface of the concrete. Prior to the advent of concrete spreader machines, this step was done manually, wasting manpower and resulting in uneven distribution. Using large equipment was too costly.
Ride-on topping spreaders perfectly address this issue, enabling precise control over the volume of hardener spread and increasing efficiency manifold.
Used in the steps following concrete placement, power trowels, driven by an electric or combustion engine, spin rotating blades to grind the surface of the concrete. This process creates a smoother, denser surface and enhances the decorative appearance of concrete.
There are two types of power trowels: walk-behind and ride-on.
A ride-on power trowel offers higher efficiency. When using a laser screed for construction, a ride-on power trowel is typically required to keep pace with the laser screed’s speed.

We will introduce you to the construction process in detail according to the steps on the flow chart below.
Checking the Formwork
Determining the formwork according to the position shown in the points warehouse seam of floor construction drawing. Firstly, the height of the formwork is determined according to the pouring thickness of the concrete. Then, the levelness of the formwork is measured by continuous laser, adjusting and correcting continuously to ensure the minimum horizontal deviation.
The maximum particle size of the coarse aggregate does not exceed 25mm.
Requirement of concrete site slumps: 160—200. Site inspection should be conducted. If the Requirement can not be met, the concrete should be returned directly and no longer used.
Air content is lower than 2%

Practical conveying pump should be adopted to transport concrete.
In principle, it is required to use concrete at the same commercial mixing station.
Transportation time of concrete pump truck should be at most 40 minutes.
The truck number of the mixer truck should be kept evenly.
The winter concrete is recommended to be poured in the afternoon. Thus the wear-resistant construction can be conducted early the next morning, which can keep floor integrity well.
Using a practical plastic cloth to enclose the site totally to prevent rainwater from entering and at the same time, to ensure the indoor temperature difference.
Requirement of concrete paving
If the ordinary paving method is used, the quality of the concrete can not be guaranteed, so special attention should be paid to the paving method. Strict management should be carried out from the beginning to the end of paving.
The concrete paving method is based on the principle of one direction. ( Starting from the left, moving to the right, and the action should be repeatedly after completion of one row)
Construction joints should be avoided when paving in summer (in order to prevent construction joints, negotiation should be conducted with the commercial mixing company to avoid the delay of the cement pump truck). The poured concrete must be tamped with a vibrator or other equivalent tool and then scraped flatly with a scraping scale. The surface layer can not expose pebbles to a certain degree of flatness.
Preliminary concrete paving
Leveling and Finishing Concrete Floor
The concrete should be discharged into the yard in the form of a turnkey project.
First, the concrete should be roughly paved according to the height of the elevation.
Laser screed machine is used to level concrete in an orderly. The principle of one direction is always maintained in the process of leveling.
The local edges and corners should be leveled by a special person with a trowel.
Using a bull float to level off the bumps and removing the surface floats at the same time.
Average daily pouring leveling area 1500㎡ to 2500㎡
When the time is right for troweling concrete, use a power trowel to finish the concrete floor.
The flatness of the ground is improved greatly, and the beauty is ensured.
